As you know, I just changed my site and put up a new header.
Then I discovered something new. So, I’m thinking about changing it again… LOL
I just came across something interesting today! I found out that Gobala Krishnan just launched Volume 1 of his “Instant Wordpress Themes”, and you can get 7 beautifully designed Wordpress themes for just $1 each.
According to Gobala, these themes are “plug-in-profit” themes, which means all you need to do is insert your Adsense ID and Clickbank ID, and you’re in the money making zone.
I don’t know whether to love summer or hate it! I love the warm weather BUT the kids are home and bugging me!
No, don’t take it the wrong way. I LOVE my kids and that’s why I’m a WAHM. BUT it seems like I don’t get any work done or I get projects half finished before I start another one. I have so many ebooks half-read, several webpages in the works but not completed, several articles in the “working file” that stays there and doesn’t get published, the list goes on and on….
I’m looking forward to when school starts again but that means more cooler weather. I think I can live with that. :-) September means business will pick up again. Summer is when things slow down cuz people are usually on vacation or spending more time outdoors. I have no complaints about that; I spend time outdoors myself.
I just need to make a list of short term goals and take one goal at a time, one day at a time. Just enjoy my kids and summer!
A Simple & Effective Way To End Procrastination & Help You Get Moving
Although procrastination causes us to put off our responsibilities because we simply “don’t feel like it” and is a terrible habit pattern that can destroy everything we work hard for, the good news is that going through such an experience can be motivating and it teaches you to be stronger with the self discipline you must have for success.
Everyone battles procrastination at some point in their lives. Even the most successful men and women who appear confident, secure, and seem to get 10X more done in a day than most people, have at one point in their life stumbled and failed due to procrastination.
What do these people know that you don’t know? The truth is that it’s not so much what you “don’t know” as it is of what you are “not doing”. You see, those of us who have overcome procrastination habits practice better habits through mental activities which act as self motivators. Below I am going to describe one such self motivator that I consider to be the simplest and most effective ways that anyone can utilize to get over the habit of procrastination.
It’s called “Do it now”One of my favorite success coaches, Brian Tracy, teaches about overcoming procrastination in a few of his courses. Over 10 years ago there is one small part that has stuck with me even today. What is it? It is simply saying to yourself, whether out loud or internally, the following three words: “DO IT NOW!”Every time there is a task at hand that must be done and I get that little nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach telling me to avoid the responsibility, I simply repeat the words “Do it now” in my head over and over. In fact, I like to have one index card that has those words written on it taped to my desk.If it sounds simple, it is. And it’s easy too. You’ll be surprised at how fast you start moving along when you practice this exercise on a daily basis.
I personally use this method of self suggestion at least a hundred times a day, literally! Regardless of what the activity is, I repeat the words “Do it now” before virtually every task that I get into. Before it is time to exercise, take care of those calls I’ve been meaning to make, paying bills, work projects - you name it and I use this simple self motivator to get me moving and pumped up.
What are the results? This exercise has a very interesting effect on not only your motivation levels, but even physiologically it seems to get the blood flowing, so to speak. We all have energy levels that can be increased or decreased depending upon our thoughts. For example, how many times have you just been absolutely dreading to start work on a particular task? And it just seems like it is going to be the most difficult and draining experience you can imagine. The more you think about this thing you have to do, the more tired you get and you end up putting it off longer and longer.
But then, what happens when you finally sit down and was forced to get it done? I am willing to bet that it wasn’t nearly as difficult as you imagined and because you had no choice, the energy that flowed help you to breeze through the task and gave you a wonderful feeling once completed.
This is the same type of energy that I am talking about. When you use self motivators like “Do it now”, you’ll produce a positive, mental, and emotional feeling that in turn gives you more physical energy to help you get through whatever project you have been procrastinating on. Try it and I guarantee you’ll be amazed at the results.About the author:
You know what they say about “Content is KING!” And that means original articles or as close to original as possible. All those PLR articles are rehashed and are seen all over the Internet. Yes, you can edit those PLR articles and make them your own. That’s ok.
There’s another way to pop out articles everyday if you wish, or even every hour. It’s original. It’s your own style.
The tool is Instant Article Wizard. I have it and it’s so easy to make articles on the fly. Just open the software and make sure you’re online. Put in a keyword and it will do the research for you. It will come up with several key points and you can choose which ones you want to use. It will come up with the Introduction, several subtopics and the Conclusion. You rearrange the sentences and voila you have an article!
Oh well, it didn’t work and I’m back on the free hosting at blogspot.com for now. If someone knows how to get this blog on the home page of my domain, please email me!
I have completed two of my projects today. (Wow… unheard of for me! Me? I actually completed A project, let alone TWO?)
One of them is a little bitty report titled, “Be an Entrepreneur”. It confronts some of the obstacles some people might have when deciding whether to forge ahead into entrepreneurship (is that a word? or is it even spelled right?).
The other one is another little bitty report titled, “Be Prepared for a Hurricane”. MANY, MANY people are not prepared. I know that for a fact. I used to live in Florida for nine years and many people waited till the last minute to prepare for hurricanes and tropical storms. Even FEMA said so on Friday, the first day of hurricane season. So, I put out this tiny report to get people to realize the importance of preparing for hurricanes or ANY natural disaster.
Check them out and let me know if I need to revise anything, especially the sales copy. Thanks!
